KSC is the main soccer team from Karlsruhe. Their club colours are white and blue and their stadium called “Wildparkstadion” which can take about 27.000 visitors. Their president called Ingo Wellenreuter and their coach Markus Kauczinski.

They´re playing in the second league of German soccer which is called „2. Bundesliga“ in Germany. They are very popular in Karlsruhe and environment. One reason for the popularity is the the location of the stadium which is near by the city in the middle of the town in a big forest which everyone knows near Karlsruhe. The parc or the forest is called „Schlossgarten“.

About the history you can say Karlsruher SC was founded at 6th June in 1894 but at this time the club was not called Karlsruher SC but rather split up in two different clubs which are called Karlsuher FC Phönix and VfB Mühlburg. The main club Karlsruher FC Phönix was founded in 1894 and the second club which they merged in 1952 was called VfB Mühlburg which was founded in 1933. At this point in 1952 Karlsruher SC was called with their whole name Karlsruher Sport-Club Mühlburg-Phönix e. V. but today the majority say Karlsruher SC or only KSC.

Also KSC has won some trophies like the German championship in 1909 and the DFB trophy in 1955 and 1956. As well they qualified themselves for the UEFA cup in 1993/94, 1996/97 and 1997/98 but unsuccessfully. Their actually main sponsors are called EnBW and Klaiber Markisen which help the club to come forward.
